Africa & Middle East Stock Index
Africa & Middle East stock index. ποΈ State owned πΌπ» ESG friendly π ΏοΈ Preference shares available ππ Global/regional operations or part of global/regional supply chains
This post is an index for all Africa (1 Egypt, 1 Mauritius & 87 South Africa stocks as of July 2024) and Middle East (1 Middle East, 3 Israel, 1 Kuwait, 2 Qatar, 2 Saudi Arabia, 2 Turkey & 1 UAE) stocks covered and tagged under our EM Stock Pick Tear Sheets organized as follows:
ποΈ State owned, controlled, or influenced companies.
πΌπ» ESG friendly stock e.g. renewable energy. This is fairly subjective.
π ΏοΈ Preference shares available (Note: I donβt see a comprehensive list of preference shares or preferred stocks readily available on the Internetβ¦).
ππ etc. This is fairly subjective as some stocks are part of global supply chains rather than domestic companies.
A very short description of the stock with links to the IR page and stock quote(s) on Yahoo! Finance.
The stock tag link linked to any post under EM Stock Pick Tear Sheets.
Titles linked to any good or in-depth research from funds etc covering the stock (Limited as of July 2024).
The goal is to build up a database or index of international, frontier, and emerging market stocks that have research available or are owned by international stock funds.
This means there is considerable room for improvement for these index posts over the coming months e.g. adding an icon link to any Wikipedia page (e.g. via an icon) as such pages usually mention any scandals or problems a stock may have add; tagging and adding additional stocks from 2023 EM Fund Stock Picks posts; organizing stocks by industry for countries that have many stocks covered, etc.

Note: Circa late October or early November 2023, and without any explanation, the Business Day TV YouTube channel was terminated. The YouTube channel contained separate individual videos with just the few minute long stock picks without the need to watch the whole show (Note: The stock picks were usually during the last few minutes of the show) they were from (although the whole shows would be interesting for anyone investing in South African stocks). The Business Day TV website still contains the entire shows in video and/or podcast format.
