China, Hong Kong & Macau Stock Index
China, Hong Kong & Macau stock index. ποΈ State owned πΌπ» ESG friendly π ΏοΈ Preference shares available ππ Global/regional operations or part of global/regional supply chains
This post is an index for all China, Hong Kong and Macau stocks covered and tagged under our EM Stock Pick Tear Sheets (plus additional untagged stocks) organized as follows:
π¨π³ China (350)
ππ° Hong Kong (96)
π²π΄ Macau (12)
Note: The links above to the relevant post sections below will only work for paid subscribers.
And for individual stocks:
ππ etc. This is fairly subjective as, for example, many stocks are part of global supply chains rather than purely domestic companies.
ποΈ State owned, controlled, or influenced companies.
πΌπ» ESG friendly stock e.g. renewable energy. This is fairly subjective.
π ΏοΈ Preference shares available (Note: I donβt see a comprehensive list of preference shares or preferred stocks readily available on the Internetβ¦).
The ticker listed first is the primary listing for Chinese stocks while the flag after the stock tickers is the stockβs domicile (usually for stocks with listings outside the PRC e.g. HK, NYSE, NASDAQ, etc).
A very short description of the stock with links to the IR page and stock quote(s) on Yahoo! Finance or other sites.
Any Wikipedia page (denoted by πΌ) and a Substack stock tag link (denoted by π·οΈ) linked to any post under EM Stock Pick Tear Sheets.
Titles linked to any good or in-depth research (ποΈ denotes an archived piece) from funds etc covering the stock or our posts (denoted by β ).
* Substack search leaves much to be desired. Inputting common terms or names (e.g. Holdings, etc.) will lead to a broad range of irrelevant results. Inputting a stock ticker (e.g. those that are numbers, etc) without the exchange abbreviation can come up with better Substack search results.
And as always, this post is provided for informational purposes only (and to make your life easierβ¦). It does not constitute investment advice and/or a recommendationβ¦
The goal is to build up a database or index of international, frontier, and emerging market stocks that have research available or are owned by international stock funds.
This means there is considerable room for improvement for these index posts over the coming months e.g. adding an icon link to any Wikipedia page (e.g. via an icon) as such pages usually mention any scandals or problems a stock may have add; tagging and adding additional stocks from 2023 EM Fund Stock Picks posts; organizing stocks by industry for countries that have many stocks covered, etc.
